First winner for Proclamation

25/04/10 - Rosina Grey salutes at Bath on second start

First-season sire Proclamation celebrated his first winner with the victory of the Rod Millman-trained Rosina Grey over five furlongs at Bath on Sunday.

Bred by The Three Point Partnership, the February-foaled filly is also the first winner for the Danehill Dancer mare Rosina May, who was unbeaten in three starts as a two-year-old.

Rosina Grey made her racecourse debut at Ffos Las on 6 April and has clearly benefited from the experience as she ran on strongly at Bath, coming between horses to score her length-and-a-quarter victory.

"The first run brought her on a lot and she wants six furlongs already,” said Millman, who was also celebrating his first two-year-old winner of the campaign, on sportinglife.com. “We'll leave her in the Super Sprint and just see how she comes along.”

Proclamation could also be represented by Gartsherrie and Bold Deceiver at Redcar and Brighton later in the week.
