Herald the latest victor

25/08/10 - Proclamation sires his seventh winner

Persian Herald became the seventh winner for his sire Proclamation when scoring on his third racecourse start for his owner and trainer, the former champion jockey Pat Eddery. The victory came in a Leicester maiden over seven furlongs, in which he dominated the final furlong, kicking clear of his 11 rivals to win by five lengths

Out of the Forzando mare Persian Fortune, the colt was bred by James Clark, who is best known as the breeder of dual Nunthorpe Stakes winner Borderlescott.

Persian Herald has a full brother catalogued to appear on the final day of Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Sale (lot 2192), consigned for Mr Clark by Throckmorton Stud.
