Kayf Tara colt tops second day of foal trade

10/11/10 - Mickley Stud-consigned weanling fetches €65,000 at Fairyhouse

After faring well with his yearlings at Tattersalls Ireland’s National Hunt Sale. Kayf Tara progressed to top the first full session of foals on Tuesday when a colt out of the multiple winner Celtic Native (Be My Native) fetched top bid of €65,000.
The youngster, consigned by Mickley Stud, was bought by trainer Ben Case for Lady Jane Grosvenor and he is likely to be reoffered at the Derby Sale.
Also gaining a place among the top ten lots to sell on Tuesday was another Kayf Tara colt, who led the early trade when being sold for €36,000 to Caucestown House Stud.
He is the second foal of Swaythe (Swain), who won the Listed EBF/DBS mares’ bumper at Sandown in 2007, and was consigned by Goldford Stud.
