22/05/11 - Overbury-bred Common Touch is now three wins from five starts

Common Touch, bred by Overbury Stallions Ltd and D Boocock, added yet another victory to his burgeoning CV on Saturday, with a three-and-a-quarter length strike over seven furlongs at York off a mark of 88.

The three-year-old’s win came ten days after a previous victorious outing over course and distance, having been runner-up on his seasonal debut at Beverley on 14 April.

Common Touch, by Compton Place out of the Priolo mare Flying Finish, is trained by Richard Fahey and ran just twice at two, winning a six-furlong maiden on debut at York. He fetched 26,000gns as a foal and was subsequently returned to the ring as a yearling, when he was knocked down for €43,000 at Goffs.
