Firebeam on path to black type

14/09/11 - Three-time winner set for further glory; yearling three-parts brother in Book 2 of Tattersalls’ October Sale

Firebeam, bred in partnership by Dukes Stud and Overbury Stallions Ltd, continues to fulfil his early promise and landed his third victory at Haydock on Tuesday in a seven-furlong conditions race.

Racing off a mark of 99, the three-year-old son of Cadeaux Genereux won by two lengths and added to his victories earlier this year at Lingfield and York. In six starts, he has never once been out of the first three and looks to be yet another potential black-type earner for the successful Highclere Thoroughbred Racing syndicate, which bought him as a yearling for 100,000gns at Tattersalls.

Firebeam’s 10-year-old dam Firebelly (by Nicolotte) has a yearling by Cadeaux Genereux’s son Bahamian Bounty in Book 2 of Tattersalls’ October Sale (consigned by Voute Sales) and her Aqlaam colt foal will head to the December Sale at Tattersalls.
