Kayf Tara flying as jumps season hots up

23/10/11 – The leading British NH sire with four winners this week and a strike rate of 36 per cent

The 2011/12 National Hunt season slid into top gear at the weekend and as the big-name horses return to the track, Kayf Tara is once again the leading British-based sire of jumpers.

The Overbury resident currently boasts a strike rate of 36 per cent with 23 individual winners from 64 runners.

In the past week he has been represented by a winning quartet, with Jacko’s Boy landing a handicap chase at Plumpton on Monday.

Kayf Tara then recorded a Saturday double courtesy of Chepstow winner Ace High, who recorded his first win over fences, and four-year-old Magnifique Etoile, who won on his hurdling debut by 13 lengths having been a 22-length bumper winner last month.

On Sunday, Graduation Night, a five-year-old Kayf Tara half-brother to top-class Flat stayer Sergeant Cecil, was the wide-margin winner of a handicap chase at Wincanton for trainer Jamie Snowden.
