Jubilant June for Bertolini

Listed winner Inetrobil heads a quintet of winners so far this month 12 June 2012

Bertolini’s runners have started the month of June in good heart, with five winners on the turf.

Highclere Thoroughbred Racing’s Inetrobil was one half of a notable double on 2 June when winning the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes at Haydock. The three-year-old filly won on debut last year and was then runner-up to subsequent Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Samitar in the G3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Also on 2 June, another three-year-old filly, Annie Walker, scored her second success over seven furlongs at Beverley.

Two days later it was the turn of Madam Macie, who recorded a five-length win over Carlisle’s stiff mile in the hands of Danny Tudhope.

It’s not only Bertolini’s daughters who have been in winning action. Errigal Lad, now seven, has been a consistent campaigner over the years and he returned to the winner’s enclosure on 6 June at Nottingham.

At Newmarket on Saturday, four-year-old John Louis came home best of a competitive field in the ten-furlong handicap to record his third win in nine starts for Charlie McBride.
