The winners keep rolling in for Kayf Tara

British champion National Hunt sire riding high with 28% strike-rate
11 March 2013

Kayf Tara is well on the way to retaining his champion jumps sire crown in Britain with a total of 42 winners under his belt so far this season from 150 runners.

His 28% strike-rate puts him in 11th place on the National Hunt stallions’ table in Britain and Ireland and in sixth position among all active sires in both countries.

Since the beginning of March he has been represented by three winners, including the six-year-old No Planning, who now counts victories over fences, hurdles and in a bumper among his four successes.

Four-year-old gelding Meadowcroft Boy won his bumper on debut at Newcastle on 5 March, while Sorted romped to a fifth victory, this time in the valuable hunter chase at Leicester on 8 March, which he won by six lengths.

This week at the Cheltenham Festival, Kayf Tara fields a strong team of runners, including The Package, Cantlow, Mozoltov, and his two previous Festival winners Kayf Aramis and Alfie Sherrin.
