The secret’s out – this mare’s rather good!

Sixth individual winner for Jeremy Hinds’ Another Secret 4 November 2013

We’re always delighted to see our loyal clients doing well on the racecourse, so it was with great pleasure that we noted the ten-length victory of the Jeremy Hinds-bred Violet Dancer in Plumpton’s juvenile hurdle on Monday.

Violet Dancer, a three-year-old gelding by our much-missed friend Bertolini, is the sixth winner for the Efisio mare Another Secret, who has been a regular visitor to Overbury Stud over the years.

Her four-year-old, Chris Pea Green, a son of Proclamation, has won a bumper and two hurdle races and also earned black type on Saturday when a close second to Pine Creek in the Listed Hurdle at Ascot.

Violet Dancer’s full-sister Smokey Ryder won seven races on the Flat and is another black-type earner, having finished third in the Listed Spring Cup in 2009. Two more full siblings, Smokey Rye and two-year-old Dazza, have won seven races between them, while Another Secret’s sole visit to Zafeen produced the three-time winner Moresweets ‘n Lace.

Violet Dancer’s victory brought up a full house of winners to runners for Another Secret, who is now 15 and won in the colours of Jeremy Hinds’ Pleasure Palace Racing as a three-year-old. She was trained by Gary Moore, who has also trained all of her offspring.
