Another day, another double

Kayf Tara’s boys salute at Carlisle
6 March 2014

Kayf Tara’s season continued in tremendous form on Thursday when Just Cameron and Bobs Lord Tara both got their names on the scoresheet at Carlisle.

Just Cameron, a seven-year-old full-brother to the Grade 2-placed Fentara, landed the third victory of his career in the 2m1f Novoces’ Handicap Hurdle for trainer Philip Kirby.

Rounding off the day in style, four-year-old Bobs Lord Tara got off the mark at the third attempt for owner/breeder John Wills, with champion jockey AP McCoy guiding him home to a nine-length win.

The brace of victories takes Kayf Tara’s tally of winners for the season to 65 at a strike rate of 32 per cent. Britain's four-time champion National Hunt sire has an impressive array of representatives entered for next week’s Cheltenham Festival, including Graded winners Special Tiara, Mozoltov, Kayf Moss and Alfie Sherrin.
