Fast Company filly on course for a Classic trial

Stakes-performing three-year-old breaks her maiden impressively

Jet Setting, a three-year-old second-crop daughter of new Overbury stallion Fast Company, led all the way to take a well-contested Cork maiden in great style. Having been third in the Listed Prix Herod on her last start at two, this was her first start in Ireland. The winning distances were two-and-a-half lengths and ten lengths, those chasing her in vain trained by Dermot Weld and Jim Bolger. She will now be aimed at the G3 Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial. Her dam, the Johannesburg mare Mean Lae, also has a two-year-old and a yearling by Fast Company.

Fast Company – also sire of Devonshire, third in last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas and runner-up in a G3 last week on her four-year-old debut –  stands at £4,000 Oct 1, SLF.
