Seventh winner for Delegator

Desperados Destiny strikes for owner-breeder William Arblaster

First-season sire Delegator recorded his seventh winner from just 20 runners when Desperados Destiny beat odds-on favourite Subjective to win the six-furlong maiden at Wolverhampton on Tuesday for trainer Ed McMahon.

Raced by his breeder William Arblaster, the April-born colt was making his third racecourse appearance after making his debut in August and finishing fourth on his most recent previous outing at Redcar in September.

Desperados Destiny is the second foal of the Wolfhound Muara, a four-time winner over five and six furlongs and also homebred by the Arblaster family.

Delegator’s winners are headed by the 106-rated Group 3 winner Delectation, who holds entries for the G2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on Friday and also next season’s 1000 Guineas.
