Impressive new winner for Cityscape

Give And Take strikes by 4.5 lengths at Lingfield

The William Haggas-trained Give And Take has been a filly to keep a close eye on ever since her eye-catching at debut at Ascot, in which she finished a running-on second.

She was runner-up again on her second start behind Wild Illusion, who has gone on to be Group 3-placed for Godolphin, while Give And Take is herself now a winner after her four-and-half-length victory at Lingfield on Saturday.

Bred by Nicholas Jones of Coln Valley Stud, in whose colours she races, Give And Take is the first foal of the Montjeu mare Grace And Glory, a full-sister to the five-time Group 1 winner Fame And Glory and to the dam of 1,000 Guineas winner Legatissimo.

Her next step could even be straight into the highest company, as she is being considered for the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc weekend, for which she would need to be supplemented.

Give And Take becomes the fourth individual winner for Cityscape, who is also the sire of another exciting filly in Momentarily. The Overbury and Dukes Stud-bred filly was third on her only start behind Wild Illusion and Give And Take and she holds an entry for the G1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket on 13 October.
