Tot on top 10/11/08

Tot Of The Knar justified her odds-on favouritism when running out the 18-length winner of a 2m 5.5f novices’ hurdle at Sedgefield on Tuesday, 9 December.

The six-year-old Kayf Tara mare was notching her fourth career success after winning on her first two starts in May and June of this year. She followed up with victory at Stratford in August and her combined winning margin from her four wins to date is a whopping 50 lengths. In a busy campaign, she has also been placed three times and ran a good fourth to Diamond Harry in the G2 Hyde Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in November, with these efforts earning her £26,531 in prize-money.

Trained in Wales by Peter Bowen, Tot Of The Knar was bred by Pillerton Stud and is out of the Relkino mare Maggie Marne.
