The first foal by Kodiac’s best ever Royal Ascot two-year-old, G2 winner Ardad, was born last night. She is a bay filly out of four-time winner and Stakes-performing juvenile Amitola, who is already the dam of two good winners.

Breeder Simon Sweeting described her as, ‘A very strong foal, with a lovely shoulder and limbs. She’s already showing a great attitude – and a huge appetite!’

Ardad covered 132 mares in his first book, including G1 juvenile Dabyah and the dam of Dubai World Cup winner Prince Bishop. Breeders who supported Ardad include Ross Doyle, Bill Dwan, Paul McCartan and Michael Fitzpatrick.
