Colt aiming to shine during his first outing to Bangor.

Schiaparelli has already had a finalist at the TBA National Hunt Foal Show and he has another representative entered to line up for the older colts’ class at this year’s show on Sunday, 26 July.

Born on February 2, this strong bay colt (pictured below) is out of the Desert Story mare Desiree and has a three-year-old full-brother named Delatite in training in Newmarket with John Berry. Both horses were bred by the trainer’s wife, Emma.

“It’s lovely to have a really nice, proper National Hunt store in the stable,” said John Berry. “It’s easy to dream when you’ve got a young horse as impressive as this one and he’s a terrific advertisement for his sire, which is why Emma was keen to send the mare back to him.”

At the 2014 TBA National Hunt Foal Show, Steven Wallace’s Schiaparelli filly out of Lac Marmot was runner-up in the younger fillies’ class. The filly will certainly be one to watch when she makes it to the racecourse as she is a half-sister to multiple-winning black-type hurdler My Petra and the Grade 2-placed eight-time winner Midnight Appeal.
