Thanks and congratulations are due to all the buyers who supported our foal draft at Tattersalls this week, and to the breeders who supported Ardad in his quietest season and have been rewarded with some decent prices in the ring.

Ardad had nine foals catalogued at Tattersalls across the four days, and all of them were sold at an average of 34,000gns. Oakshott Bloodstock’s homebred son of Feliciana brought the top price of 64,000gns from shrewd pinhookers Tally-Ho Stud, who know our stallion pretty well as they bred Ardad and sold him as a two-year-old. They have also bred his best runner to date, the dual Group 1 and Royal Ascot winner Perfect Power.

Richard Kent of Mickley Stud, pictured here with his son Finn, has also been a staunch supporter of Ardad, and he sold three foals by him, including a colt out of Dora’s Sister for 58,000gns to RC Bloodstock.

From our own draft, we topped the opening day of the foal sale with a colt by Ardad’s great rival Time Test and out of Wild Mimosa, whose two-year-old by the same stallion, Love Interest, won well on debut recently for Clipper Logistics, giving us a lovely update.

At the head of the consignment was Pacifica Highway’s Night Of Thunder filly, who sold for 130,000gns to Michael Fitzpatrick of JC Bloodstock.

Our sincere thanks to all the buyers who supported our draft, and to our staff back at home and sales staff who work so tirelessly to ensure the horses are seen at their best at the sales.
