Ardad, the leading British first-season sire, posted his 20th individual winner this week when Atomise, trained by Charlie Fellowes, won a fillies’ novice stakes at Leicester. Fellowes is also the trainer of Ardad’s Group 3-winning daughter Eve Lodge.

Bred by Sam Hoskins, Atomise races in the colours of Miranda, Duchess of Beaufort, and has made three starts this season, including when sixth in the Listed Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar.

Ardad is also the sire of dual Group 1 winner and leading Classic contender for 2022, Perfect Power, whose victories in the Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes were preceded by him becoming his sire’s first Royal Ascot winner when landing the G2 Norfolk Stakes for Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum and Richard Fahey.
