Karmology became the 13th Group winner on the Flat for Golden Horn with her victory in the G3 Pride Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.
Raced by her breeders David and Yvonne Blunt, the five-year-old mare has been a model of consistency and has run in eight stakes races this season, placing in all bar one before her much deserved Group win. Trained by Karl Burke and ridden by Clifford Lee, the latest win was the fourth of her career, having won her first two starts at three and then again last year.
Golden Horn’s great year on the Flat sees him sitting just outside the top 20 stallions in the table. His top runners this year have been the G1 Gold Cup winner Trawlerman, G2 Park Hill Stakes winner and G1 runner-up Santorini Star, and G3 John Porter Stakes winner Divina Grace from just 63 runners in Britain and Ireland.
