The new year has seen the winners continue to roll in for Jack Hobbs, whose latest three victors have been impressive indeed.

Kepler’s Law’s romp of a win over hurdles at Leicester on Tuesday has his trainer Laura Morgan dreaming of the big time after the six-year-old strolled home by 30 lengths.

“I think this horse could be anything over fences, he’s so exciting,” she said on Racing TV following the gelding’s first win under rules. He also won a point-to-point in April 2024.

Kepler’s Law’s success was particularly enjoyed by the team at Overbury as he is out of the Kayf Tara mare Wee Orbit and was bred by Christopher Sweeting.

On Saturday at Ascot Cheryl Burton’s homebred Jax Junior recorded back-to-back wins when landing the novices’ hurdle by 17 lengths for trainer Lucy Wadham, who enjoyed a double on the day.

The latest impressive debutant for Jack Hobbs is the Dan Skelton-trained Bossman Jack, an authoritative winner of the Wincanton bumper last week. The five-year-old is a half-brother to Gidleigh Park, who won the G2 Fitzdares Lightning Novice’s Chase at Windsor on Friday, and was bred by Richard and Lizzy Kelvin-Hughes.

The eldest progeny for Jack Hobbs have just turned six. He is the sire of 19 winners so far this National Hunt season and was also recently represented by a Flat winner, the well-named Pavilion End, trained by Charles O’Brien, at Dundalk.
