Lady Charlotte shot to the head of the betting for the G1 Preis der Diana (German Oaks) following her second consecutive black-type win in the G3 Diana Trial at Hoppegarten on Sunday.

Bred by Rebecca Phillipps from the Poet’s Voice mare Middle Creek, the daughter of Golden Horn also won a Listed race in Hanover last month for trainer Andreas Wohler and owner Westminster Race Horses, the combination which recently won the G2 German 1,000 Guineas with fellow British-bred Lady Ilze.

Lady Charlotte is a full-sister to Little Trilby, a dual winner over hurdles for Richard Hendriks, and who was recently switched to the stable of Gordon Elliott. She was sold for 20,000gns at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
