Six more winners this week for Kayf Tara

21/12/11 - Festive roll continues as Overbury Stud resident continues his move up the sires’ table with a strike rate of 32 per cent

Kayf Tara’s lucrative year continued in fine style this week with six more wins added to the tally, maintaining his position as this season’s leading British-based National Hunt sire and elevating him to sixth position among active sires in the table for Britain and Ireland.

Four-year-old Magnifique Etoile scored his third consecutive win with a 12-length victory at Bangor on 14 December, while Elegant Touch, a five-year-old mare, recorded back-to-back wins with a 15-length strike at Taunton following last month’s Lingfield success.

Also in the winner’s enclosure this week was Dermatologiste, who won a staying chase at Bangor; Kaffie, who landed her second win from only five starts; Circus Of Dreams, who took his tally of victories to five with a win over fences at Towcester, and Papa Caruso, another steeplechase winner, this time at Newcastle on Saturday.

Kayf Tara now has 35 winners from 108 runners for the 2011/12 season, giving him the best strike rate (32 per cent) among the top 20 stallions in Britain and Ireland.
