Purple patch for Kayf Tara

Four winners and a third from last five runners 1 March 2013

Kayf Tara’s runners have hit a rich vein of form in advance of the Cheltenham Festival, with four of his last five runners having won while the other finished third.

Tarabela got the ball rolling when posting her second consecutive victory of the season with a hard-fought win over hurdles at Towcester on 24 February.

Three days later E Street Boy and Tara Rose saluted at Wincanton and Bangor respectively, with the former recording his fifth victory from 15 starts and Tara Rose winning over fences to bring her tally to four wins from 14 runs.

On 28 February, better ground at Ludlow saw a terrific run from Ballyoliver, who won the Forbra Gold Challenge Cup. The victory was his fourth over fences and his connections are hoping he will make the cut for the Cheltenham Festival, at which he is entered for the Grade 3 JLT Specialty Handicap Chase and Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup.
