Saturday treble rounds off good week for Kayf Tara

No Planning, Kayf Moss and Foryourinformation seal fruitful weekend
3 February 2014

Sign Of A Victory proved to be well named when recording his second victory in four starts on the ‘bumpers for jumpers’ card at Kempton last Friday. The Nicky Henderson-trained five-year-old led the way for a super Saturday for his sire Kayf Tara, who was responsible for a hat-trick of winners on the day.

Seven-year-old No Planning recorded a 15-length victory over fences at Wetherby to notch his sixth career win in total for trainer Sue Smith.

Kayf Moss was the first of two winners for Kayf Tara at Ffos Las on Saturday and secured his second consecutive victory for John Flint when landing the 2m4f handicap hurdle by 27 lengths.

Rounding off the day’s action in Wales was the Whitley Stud-bred five-year-old Foryourinformation, who was making his second start in a bumper for Rebecca Curtis and followed up on a good debut second by outpointing Obistar to win in gritty fashion in the heavy going.

On Sunday in Ireland, Gigginstown House Stud’s Rathlin garnered yet more black type with a third place finish in the Grade 2 Tied Cottage Chase, while the promising dual winner Lieutenant Colonel was runner-up in the Listed EBF Novice Hurdle at Punchestown for the same owner.
