Delegator's first foals win the plaudits of breeders

Mares being rebooked on strength of this year's offspring
4 April 2014

Delegator is passing on his powerful, athletic mould to his first foals, and breeders have been rebooking their mares on the strength of the way they look.

Rated the equivalent of Dansili at three, the hope is that Delegator might one day emulate his sire's record as a stallion.

He's started the right way by exciting the right people. The high praise received so far includes:

'Big, correct, exceptionally nice' (Barry Reilly, Woodcote Stud)

'Full of quality, great bone and correct. We couldn't be happier' (Nicholas Pocock, Stringston Farm)

'A really well-grown and good-looking individual with a touch of class' (Clive Cox, trainer)

'The spitting image of his father – great shape' (Robin Sharp, Houghton Bloodstock)

'A good, strong sort, a first-foal with a sharp outlook. The owner is so pleased the mare has been bred back' (Richard Lingwood, Norton Grove Stud)

'We have two, a colt and a filly, and they are identical: both good-looking and athletic. I'd say he stamps them with plenty of quality' (Phil Haworth, Whitsbury Manor Stud)
