Kayf Tara at the double

The November winners keep rolling in
13 November 2014

Kayf Tara was represented by two winners on Wednesday when Racing Europe won the bumper at Bangor-on-Dee and Tara Point landed a mares’ novice hurdle at Exeter.

Already a point-to-point winner, five-year-old Racing Europe was making his third appearance under rules for Brian Ellison and ran home cosily to score by ten lengths under Danny Cook. The first foal of the Turgeon mare Titanic Quarter, he was bred in Ireland by J Maxwell and fetched £120,000 when sold at Britghtwells’ Cheltenham Sale last December.

Tara Point was also a wide-margin winner, striking on her hurdles debut for Paul Nicholls by 15 lengths. Bred in Britain by Anthea Gibson-Fleming, the grey mare races in the Classic-winning colours of Robin Geffen and has now won both her starts following her bumper victory in April. Out of Poppet, by Terimon, she is a half-sister to three National Hunt winners, The Grey Express, Good As Gold and Popaflora.
