Super six for Katies Tuitor 01/10/08

Katies Tuitor landed another valuable hurdling prize on 27 September when winning the feature race on Market Rasen’s card and earning himself another £25,000 in prize-money.

The five-year-old clearly has a liking for the Lincolnshire track, having also won the Listed Summer Handicap Hurdle there in July. Six victories and four placings in 20 career starts have accrued more than £80,000 for his prize-money pot to date.

The Kayf Tara gelding, who is out of the Millfontaine mare Penny Gold, won on the flat as a two-year-old when trained by his breeder Brendan Duke. He then won two novice hurdles before being sold last winter to race for Bill Adams and trainer Charlie Mann, for whom he has now won three of his six runs.

He is one of eight black type performers for his sire, including Grade Two-winning hurdlers Carruthers and Venalmar and the talented bumper horses Mad Max and Touch of Irish.

Kayf Tara will be appearing as part of the TBA stallion parade at Cheltenham on Friday, 14 November.
