Cityscape’s first-crop son Ka Ying Star ~ who won three of his four starts in Britain for Andrew Balding when named Urban Aspect ~ ran the world’s highest-rated miler Beauty Generation to half-a-length at level weights in the G1 Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup over 7f at Sha Tin on 16 February. His career earnings now stand at £1.25m and, in beating top G1 sprinter-milers Beat The Clock, Hot King Prawn and Wishful Thinker, Ka Ying Star ran to an official Hong Kong rating of 121. International rankings now have him on 117, while his Racing Post rating of 118 places him above Godolphin’s G1 winners Benbatl and Barney Roy and ranks him as the second-best turf miler in the world.

Bred by Emma Balding at Kingsclere Stud, the gelded five-year-old is out of the Sinndar mare, Casual Glance, who coincidentally foaled his full-brother on the same day.
