Third-season nominations to the star miler are being offered with a new variation on pay-when-you-sell terms.

Overbury Stud is offering new terms for Cityscape, called ‘Breeding Confidence‘. So sure are we that Cityscape’s first crops will succeed on the racecourse that breeders can pay his 2016 nomination fee when they sell as a foal or a yearling. They never pay more than the £4,500 stud fee, and if their horse makes less than £9,000, they pay only 50% of the sale price.

Simon Sweeting said, ‘The Overbury team has seen a great many of Cityscape’s 65 first-crop foals and they are very striking sorts – they share his powerful frame and are notably good movers. Seeing them really does give us confidence that he will do well with his early runners. His first two crops will be on the racecourse by the time a yearling conceived in 2016 is at the sales, adding to their value. So the Breeding Confidence terms hope to do exactly what they say and inspire breeders intending to sell their offspring to consider using Cityscape.’
